For Simone Giannelli an amazing year!

Trento, December 30th, 2015

Trentino Volley concluded this afternoon the work in the gym for the 2015. The last training day of the year the team held two sessions: in the morning physical work in the weight room, in the afternoon technique always in PalaTrento before the traditional toast for the end of the year. The Yellow-blues will now enjoy two days off for the New Year; the venue for the first training session of 2016 is indeed set for the morning of Saturday, January 2nd, with a new double training session.
"In just these twelve months a lot of things have really changed for me” - admitted Simone Giannelli to the microphone of Trentino Volley TV - “just think that a year ago at this time I still had to play my first game as a starter in SuperLega. Obviously I can not be content: I work hard to make sure that the future will be even better, because certain goals can achieved only if you deserve them and if you earn them every day with the utmost commitment. I always look forward anyways, it is undeniable my satisfaction for 2015 that I'm leaving behind. In terms of volleyball the Championship’s victory and then the qualification for the Olympics in Rio, which I have personally lived as a protagonist on the field, were definitely the highest points of my year, but no less important are also achievements outside the field as a driving license and the high school diploma.”
"Compared to 365 days ago I think I grew up technically in the set fundamental and in the management game’s tactics, but I think I can still improve a lot from this point of view” - continued the setter from Bolzano of Diatec Trentino. - “Trento is a strong team, young and which has a great desire to work without fear: we got good results so far this season in Super League but objectively we could have done more if we hadn’t had a few ups and downs in certain games. In the second leg we can achieve better results and I am not referring only to the challenges against Lube or Modena, rather to matches that maybe may seem easier: it is at these times that we need to be more cynical. The 2016? It will definitely be an important year, I wish it will be better than the one just concluded even if I realize that it will not be so easy. But there are many events to experience, first with Trentino Volley and then with the National team; in any case I can’t look too far: I repeat myself, but I think only to work. In the meantime, I want to wish all our fans a happy new year: I hope it still will be full of satisfactions”.
